Stephen received his calling for music at 12 years old, learning guitar in the footsteps of his older brothers Tyler and Adam, and first playing the bass guitar to perform in a punk rock band in middle school. By age 15 he had performed on the Vans Warped Tour in Detroit and other iconic venues such as the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, CA. His songwriting and guitar playing began to develop further through high school and college spanning various genres of punk, rock, pop and country. After graduating from the University of San Diego, Stephen, his brother and their pop rock band had released multiple albums and were touring regularly, opening for acts such as Smash Mouth and Good Charlotte. Stephen’s influences span numerous genres and include artists such as Tom Petty, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Tim McGraw, Phil Collins, Relient K, Counting Crows and Goo Goo Dolls.

Stephen’s efforts turned to country music in 2016 when he wrote and released his first country single, “I’m An American”, a ballad written about one of his best friends who had decided to enlist in the U.S Navy. Since then, Stephen has released numerous songs all which tell stories rooted in the core of what he often writes about and believes in; Family coming first, the importance of great friends and great times, and the beauty in the journey of someone runnin’ down a dream.
